Children sitting comfortably? Then lets begin the legend of Johnny's "Happily Happily" Pig's Trotter Rice:
Johnny's Mother and father grew up on a little, little farm many miles away from eachother. Johnny Mother was youngest of 10, born when her father was in 70s. Her father, renowned for ornery way. Even when he was in his last decade, with fading eyesight, he insist on driving his old truck! weaving from one side of road to other. Local resident knew to steer away when they saw Old Man coming.
For long as anyone could remember, Old Man had been feuding with nearest neighbor. - had fought over property line, cattle, chicken-thieving dog, suckling little pig still tucked way back, sleeping, in the wood that each man claimed operated in younger, rowdier day.
Legend has it, neighbor often took great delight in releasing pigs into fields where Old Man still grew corn . Each morning,Old Man would look out over his crop, straining to see sign of pig's invasion. When he thought he spotted the pigs, he would expressing great surprise that anyone could commit such an act. grabbing quickly, quickly his gun, go out to fields and start firing, unable with poor vision to hit much of pigs.
"Pigs coming again!"
Eventually, the pigs would go off their way home, full up, satisfied with Old Man's Corn. and late in afternoon, Old Man would return, defeated from the fields.
One day, Johnny's Father, who was high school senior at the time, was driving by during one of the shooting session. The pigs had come from woods again, and Old Man shooting wildly, missing every time. They devouring the Old Man's Corn. Johnny's Father stopped and asked Old Man if he needed help. Then he took shotgun from Old Man, quickly shoot all the pig and put them in the back of the old truck. They would making quite a few tasty, treaty meals for the family.
Old Man was so so pleased at the triumph that he invited Johnny to come over that night for supper and there he introduced the young man to his 16-year-old daughter.
The rest is history. They were married one year later and soon set up Johnny's "Happily Happily" Pig's Trotter Rice.
